Our new After School Club is run on behalf of Newent Federation Schools by local childcare provider Happy Turtles. Based in the Elliot Room, the After School Club has full use of the extensive facilities and outside spaces that the school offers.
We offer continuous provision and follow your children’s lead on what they’d like to do and how they like to play and relax. All the while, we’ll provide board games, books & quiet corner, arts & crafts, Lego & construction, role play… and much more, so that they have plenty of choice and variety. There are also on-going themes & projects, such as cooking, exercise & well-being, The Great Outdoors, Popcorn Club and games night. So there is always something for all different ages and interests.
The club is Ofsted registered and there will be a minimum of two staff every day supervising the children and running the club, who are highly experienced and fully qualified, including food hygiene and first aid.
After School Club is a No Phone Zone for both children & grown-ups! Everyone will be asked to hand in their phone if brought on site. It will be stored securely until leaving. Children will be escorted from school to Happy Turtles by a member of staff.
A free snack will be provided for everyone and for those that would like something larger, Turtle Tea is available at a small cost (£1.50).
