We are very proud to have been awarded a 5 star rating for hygiene by the Forest of Dean District Council.
Everyday there is a hot meal choice available and there is always a vegetarian option. In order to take the strain out of preparing a school lunch, for parents and guardians, we also offer a packed lunch alternative for junior school children only. All of the choices we offer are well balanced and nutritious. The current cost of School Meals, is £2.30 per day in the junior school, However, ALL MEALS in the infant school are FREE.
Menus are regularly checked to ensure all Food Standards are met and we survey the children from time to time to keep them as happy as we can.
Throughout the year the kitchen organises ‘Themed Days’ where we prepare special lunches for pupils to enjoy. It is a great opportunity to bring the whole school together.
Milk is available at playtime via the ‘Cool Milk’ scheme. Children are also welcome to bring their own packed lunch, and all meals are eaten in the School Hall.
I like school because the dinners are yummy.: Tom (Glebe)
